But what really stood out was that the project went far beyond “just” rewiring. We didn’t initially realize how many opportunities would open up in the process. Reliant helped us rethink and improve our lighting throughout the house: replacing dated 1970s track lighting with recessed and accent lighting, precisely placing new fixtures, and installing a much quieter whole-house fan. They also did complex electrical work to set up a fully functioning darkroom and thoughtfully anticipated the needs of a future kitchen remodel by running power for a garbage disposal and dishwasher.
Marshal, in particular, was exceptional. He consistently offered creative, thoughtful ideas that complemented our interests and aesthetic – never pushy, always responsive to things we mentioned (often things we didn’t even realize were possible). He’s a genuinely brilliant problem-solver with remarkably broad expertise, and he explains what he’s doing and why in a way that builds trust and understanding.
